Ours turned out how we wanted it and for the budget we had, other places quoted us ridiculous amounts, 20-30k over what Hobert could. We almost gave up the pool dream. Get 3+ quotes always!

It also seemed as though Hobert have a better packaged all inclusive product with Pentair, the App controlled SPA and Pool is all included, other places charge 1k extra for every small detail or add on which should be standard in 2021. LED Lights, App control, safe guards etc.

There were a few small niggles and misunderstandings along the way and with the COVID pandemic slowing everything down. It took longer than expect, started end of August and finished by end of December, no fault of the Hobert team. I would use them again if we ever move.

The pool service team (Shan & Alex) are awesome as well, I have no idea what I am doing and they are willing to teach you. Pool school is a must! It takes time to learn the system, filters, PH levels etc. Use the Pool School.”

“I decided to wait on writing my review for a year because I wanted to see how the pool functioned and to let things settle (shell, coping, decking, plaster, etc). It was built in March 2019. The designer was Michael Mueller and Chuck Mills was the on site foreman. I’m a skeptical individual and questioned everything. The design process was simple and I felt non pressured on anything from the designed. Remember this is YOUR pool and the designer works for you. Michael was very helpful and easy to talk to. The building of the pool was a little stressful and a mess was made, but the crews ALWAYS cleaned up and were extremely polite and hard working. They worked so hard for me that I even provided coffee for them and BBQ for them on their last day. I was very pleased with the building process. A year has passed and I have been so pleased with my pool. I had an issue with the blower a month into it but Hobert fixed it right away. I have enjoyed my pool even in the winter. I’ve headed it to a comfortable 85 degrees and the spa to a steamy 101. I did my research with 5 other pool companies before going with Hobert. I would recommend Hobert pools to anyone and have suggested it to some of my friends. They have been around for a long time and deliver a good quality product in a reasonable amount of time.”

He was able to build a digital layout of whatever we could dream up. After realizing what our dreams needed to be he designed it perfect. “Not having built a pool before, we were very nervous about selecting the right builder. Our goal was to go with a company who had a long standing, solid reputation in the DFW area, vs a cheaper alternative. Hobert is one of the companies we vetted along with another known top builder, and a smaller builder who had done many jobs in our neighborhood. Ultimately it was the 10 references I called personally and the sales process, which sold us on Hobert. This included educating us on all aspects of the build…including several renderings and suggestions on what to do and not to do. Other companies, I literally felt I was being pushed through a cycle…not a good feeling when we were not purchasing a low end pool/spa.

Hobert did a great job managing our expectations on timing, mess and input needed by us along the way. The pool was finished quickly, even before another pool which started in the neighborhood before ours. We had a few instances where we didn’t like the stone mix chosen or drainage watchouts, but everything was taken care of by either Aaron (on-site) or Duke (head supervisor in office). Net, the process was not nearly as stressful as we thought it was going to be…where neighbors appeared to fight with their pool companies throughout the process.

A year later, we have been 100% satisfied with our selections for the pool and the service we have received on minor items. I cannot express enough that if you spend this much money on a purchase to do your research, include Hobert in your consideration set and don’t go for the lowest bid. No, I am not a relative of someone who works for Hobert!

Relative to the literal dozens of pools installed in my neighborhood, we are the only family who is not complaining about their pool process and follow-up service. I know I can always call Hobert if I need any further assistance. They know my name, and are always very helpful and return calls promptly. Thank you Hobert Team!”

“We recently had a pool put in by Hobert and while it is a scary, stressful and crazy process it turned out better than we could have even imagined. In the busiest part of summer with an unusually heavy amount of rain, they got the whole thing done in just at 11 weeks and the only way that happened was with the amazing scheduling by Christina. No matter if we were flying through the process as we did in the first several weeks for fighting through the never-ending rain delays, Christina always kept us informed and I truly feel she did everything in her power to make things happen as quickly as possible.

The design process with Hobert was so smooth and simple. Michael took our initial design and optimized it so we got every feature we could squeeze into our budget and tweaked every curve to our exact vision. He turned our crazy idea of a free form pool set in a square patio, into an amazingly beautiful work of art in our back yard. He also saw us through the painstaking initial permitting process with the City of Frisco.

We were so lucky to have Aaron as our construction manager. He outlined the entire process at the start so we knew what to expect and when. Throughout the build he fully answered every question, no matter how seemly stupid. He would even hang around as long as it took to make sure all of our questions were answered even when I know he had other places to be.

The very first weekend we had water in the pool was a holiday weekend. We were having people over for a party and could not figure out how to get the pool filter to run. I texted both Aaron and Christina, and amazingly they both responded, even though it was a holiday weekend. Turned out we just needed to add water to the pool but Christina even called to ensure we were up and running. Simply outstanding customer service.

We have had a few minor issues since completion and Sherri, Nate, Byron and the entire service department have responded an resolved all the issues and answered all the questions we have had. In fact, during the first service call, Tim took so much time answering all our questions that had arisen since the end of construction. Even though he was only there for a minor repair he stuck around and gave us a 2nd pool school, walking us through the entire maintenance process and refreshing our memory of everything we learned from Byron the first go around. Because we received such great service in the build process, we chose to continue with Hobert for our weekly servicing. Jose has been out a couple of times already and always leaves us a healthy and sparkling pool saving us time and allowing us to enjoy the fun of the pool without the not so fun work.

Having a pool put in is so much messier, stressful, frustrating and amazing than you can imagine. Throughout the entire process from the first dig to the last piece of sod, Christina was our rock. I don’t think we would have made it through with our sanity without her keeping us constantly informed. Night or day, weekends and holidays she was always there for us. Delays are going to happen on any project, but knowing Christina was hard at work to move things along as fast as possible and keeping us up to date, was a huge comfort in the most disappointing of times.
